Cherub—A Pioneer in Musical Accessories

For many years, Cherub has been regarded as one of the leading manufacturers of digital tuners and music accessories. The brand made a name for itself particularly through the development of the first clip-on tuner in 2005, which had a lasting impact on the way musicians tune their instruments. Today, Cherub stands for innovative, practical, and high-quality products that appeal to beginners and professionals alike.

With the Cherub ECH WST-675-GRY Cliptuner (includes battery), the manufacturer is once again setting new standards. This model combines the highest precision with a modern, color LCD display and offers smart additional features specifically tailored to the needs of guitarists, bassists, and ukulele players.

Technical Details of the Cherub ECH WST-675-GRY Cliptuner

The Cherub ECH WST-675-GRY Cliptuner with rechargeable battery stands out with a wide range of features that make it an indispensable tool for musicians. With its compact dimensions of 49 x 26 x 40 mm and a weight of just 21 g, it is particularly lightweight and portable without sacrificing stability. The sturdy clip with a piezo sensor ensures reliable note detection by precisely capturing the instrument’s vibrations—even in noisy environments where microphone tuners would no longer work.

The high-contrast color LCD display ensures that the tuning indication remains clearly visible from any angle. Thanks to the flexible clip, the tuner can be positioned as desired, allowing it to adapt perfectly to the musician’s playing style. The color scheme on the display provides immediate feedback on whether the note is too high, too low, or perfectly in tune—ideal for quick, intuitive tuning.

With a tuning range from A0 (27.5 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz), the tuner covers a wide spectrum. The reference tuning fork is flexibly adjustable between 431 and 449 Hz, allowing for alternative tunings and special requirements. With a tuning accuracy of ±1 hundredth of a semitone, the WST-675 offers the highest precision for professional applications.

Particularly noteworthy is the exclusive guitar tuning mode with compensation. This mode accounts for the natural fluctuations in string vibrations and harmonizes the tuning while playing—a feature that discerning guitarists in particular will appreciate. In addition to this special mode, the device also offers settings for standard guitar, bass, ukulele, and a chromatic mode. Additional flat-tuning options (b – bb – bbb) expand its range of applications.

Another advantage is the power supply via a built-in lithium-ion battery (3.7 V, 180 mAh), which provides up to 10 hours of operating time. The included USB-C cable ensures fast and easy charging. The device also features an auto-off function that maximizes battery life by automatically turning off the tuner after a period of inactivity.

Why the Cherub ECH WST-675-GRY is the perfect choice

The Cherub ECH WST-675-GRY Cliptuner with battery offers a perfect combination of precision, ease of use, and innovative additional features. Its high-contrast color display, flexible clip design, and high accuracy make it the ideal tuner for musicians who value a professional and reliable tool.

The ability to select different modes—from chromatic to specialized guitar tunings—makes the tuner extremely versatile. In particular, the exclusive guitar mode with compensation sets it apart from many other devices and ensures a more harmonious sound. The flat tuning function also allows for creative freedom without sacrificing tuning accuracy.

Thanks to the rechargeable battery, there’s no need to replace batteries regularly. This not only helps the environment but also makes the tuner more cost-effective over the long term. The automatic shut-off feature also ensures that the battery is always used optimally.
