Ortega Guitars has made a name for itself worldwide as a manufacturer of high-quality acoustic instruments. The brand stands for innovative ideas, high-quality materials, and meticulous craftsmanship that impresses both beginners and professional musicians.

Ortega’s philosophy is based on combining traditional instruments with modern requirements. This results in guitars that not only deliver exceptional sound but are also comfortable to play and offer high reliability.

For every guitar, Ortega ensures a careful selection of the woods used as well as precise craftsmanship. The goal is a balanced tone, a sturdy construction, and a long service life. The Ortega R18S 4/4 classical guitar with gig bag is an excellent example of this commitment to quality.

Technical Details – High-Quality Tonewoods and Comfortable Playability

The heart of the Ortega R18S 4/4 classical guitar with gig bag is its solid cedar top. Cedar is one of the most popular tonewoods for classical guitars because it delivers a warm, full sound with quick response. This wood truly showcases its unique tonal qualities, especially when playing classical guitar and fingerstyle techniques.

The back and sides are made of bubinga, a premium, resonant wood known for its high density and excellent resonance properties. Bubinga ensures clear projection and supports a balanced tone with defined bass and brilliant treble.

The guitar’s neck is made of African mahogany, a tonewood prized for its stability and comfortable feel. Combined with the rosewood fingerboard, it creates a comfortable playing experience that allows for precise fingering and smooth movements across the fingerboard.

With a scale length of 650 mm, the guitar conforms to the classic standard size, making it particularly familiar to play. The nut width of 51 mm offers ample space for clean finger positions and is ideal for classical playing techniques.

The 19 frets allow for a versatile musical range—from classical compositions to modern fingerstyle pieces. High-quality chrome tuners in an elegant lyre design with white tuning pegs ensure precise tuning and stable intonation.

The Ortega R18S 4/4 concert guitar, which comes with a gig bag, is factory-strung with Knobloch EDQ 34.0 MED/HIGH Tension strings.

The natural matte finish not only gives the instrument a sophisticated look but also ensures a particularly natural feel. Many guitarists appreciate matte finishes because they feel comfortable to the touch while highlighting the natural beauty of the woods used.

A practical advantage is the included Pro Gig Bag. It allows you to transport the guitar safely and protect it from external influences—ideal for traveling to lessons, rehearsals, or performances.
