Ortega Guitars is one of the established brands in the acoustic instrument sector and is recognized worldwide for quality, innovation, and a passion for music. The manufacturer develops guitars that impress both sonically and ergonomically and are tailored to the needs of modern musicians.
An important part of this philosophy is the development of special models for different players—including guitars for left-handers. These instruments are not merely adapted but are consistently designed from the ground up for the specific playing style.
The Ortega R20GWN-L 4/4 Left-Handed Classical Guitar with Gig Bag is handcrafted in Spain. Spain is considered the birthplace of the classical concert guitar and has a long tradition of crafting high-quality instruments. This expertise is reflected in the sound quality and craftsmanship of this guitar.
The heart of the Ortega R20GWN-L 4/4 Left-Handed Concert Guitar with Gig Bag is its solid cedar top. This tonewood is particularly popular in classical guitar making because it delivers a quick response and a warm, full sound. Cedar truly reveals its characteristic richness of tone, especially when playing fingerstyle or classical music.
The back and sides are made of walnut, a tonewood that impresses both visually and sonically. Walnut delivers a balanced tone with clear mids, defined bass, and pleasant highs. At the same time, its distinctive grain creates a particularly elegant appearance.
The guitar’s neck is made of African mahogany. This wood is known for its stability and pleasant feel, ensuring a comfortable playing experience. Combined with the rosewood fingerboard, it results in precise tone response and excellent playability.
With a scale length of 650 mm, the guitar conforms to the classic standard dimensions of a concert guitar. This scale length ensures balanced string tension and a familiar playing feel. The nut width of 51 mm provides ample space for clean finger positions and is particularly well-suited for classical playing techniques.
The rosewood fingerboard features 19 frets and enables a versatile musical range—from classical compositions to modern fingerstyle arrangements.
The high-quality chrome tuners in an elegant lyre design with white tuning pegs ensure precise tuning and stable intonation. At the same time, they accentuate the guitar’s classic look.
The Ortega R20GWN-L 4/4 Left-Handed Classical Guitar, including a gig bag, comes factory-equipped with Knobloch EDQ 34.0 MED/HIGH Tension strings. These high-quality strings support the guitar’s dynamic sound and deliver a clear, balanced tone.
The high-quality maple binding adds elegant visual accents along the body while also protecting the instrument’s edges. Together with the natural high-gloss finish, this creates a particularly stylish appearance.
The package also includes a practical Pro GigBag. This allows you to transport the guitar safely and protect it reliably from external influences—ideal for lessons, rehearsals, or performances.
The Ortega R20GWN-L 4/4 Left-Handed Classical Guitar with Gig Bag is an excellent choice for left-handed players looking for a high-quality classical guitar with traditional construction. Handcrafted in Spain using carefully selected tonewoods, this instrument delivers impressive sound quality.
The solid cedar top delivers a warm and expressive tone, while the walnut back and sides provide additional resonance and clarity. This results in a balanced sound that is ideal for classical music, fingerstyle, and many other playing styles.
Its playability is also impressive: the classic scale length, the comfortable nut width, and the high-quality rosewood fingerboard enable precise and comfortable playing. High-quality tuners and professional strings further ensure reliable performance.
