The cable is based on the CCAT 5e PUR cable sold by the meter, a highly flexible and durable cable type featuring total shielding (S/UTP). The design features AWG 26/19 inner conductors with 19 fine strands per conductor, enabling high flexibility and tight bend radii—ideal for mobile use and frequent coiling.

The conductor insulation consists of solid PE (polyethylene) with a diameter of 1.03 mm. The PUR outer jacket reliably protects the cable from mechanical stress, UV radiation, and chemicals—making the cable ideally suited for indoor and outdoor applications. The total jacket diameter is 6.5 mm ±0.2 mm.

The capacitance between the conductors is < 50 pF/m, which ensures stable signal quality at high frequencies. The conductor resistance is 140 Ω/km, which has a positive effect on range and signal strength. In addition, the cable supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) in accordance with IEEE 802.3af-2003 with up to 15.4 W. The maximum PoE channel length is 67 meters.
