Doepfer A-151V Vintage Quad Sequential Switch Product Details

Doepfer A-151V Vintage Quad Sequential Switch – Classic 4-way sequential switch with a vintage design

Are you looking for a compact, versatile sequential switch for your Eurorack system with a classic vintage look? The Doepfer A-151V Vintage Quad Sequential Switch is the “vintage” version of the tried-and-true A-151 and functions as a 4-position electronic rotary switch. It enables sequential signal switching and opens up creative possibilities for modulation, audio routing, and complex patch structures.

Thanks to its bidirectional operation and robust construction, the A-151V is a flexible tool for modular setups—from experimental soundscapes to rhythmic switching.

4-position sequential switch with trigger and reset inputs

The module features a trigger input, a reset input, four inputs/outputs, and a common input/output. With each pulse at the trigger input, the common connection is switched to the next input/output.

After the fourth connection, the module jumps back to the first input/output upon the next trigger pulse. A positive pulse at the reset input switches the common connection directly back to the first input/output.

Bidirectional Signal Routing

Like the Dual-VCS A-150, the Doepfer A-151V Vintage Quad Sequential Switch operates bidirectionally. This means that inputs and outputs are interchangeable. As a result, the module can be used both to distribute a signal to multiple destinations and to combine multiple signal sources into a single output.

The module handles voltages ranging from -12 V to +12 V at the I/O or O/I connectors. This makes the module equally suitable for audio and control voltages.

LED indicator for active channel

Four integrated LEDs indicate which input or output is currently active. This allows you to keep track of the current switching position within your patch structure at all times.

Compact design and Eurorack compatibility

With a shallow mounting depth of just 35 mm, the A-151V is also suitable for shallower Eurorack enclosures. Power consumption is 20 mA at +12 V and 10 mA at -12 V, making it energy-efficient in modular setups.

The vintage version also brings the classic look of early Doepfer modules to your rack—ideal for lovers of traditional design.
