Ibanez Tube Screamer Handwired - The legendary overdrive redefined

The Ibanez Tube Screamer Handwired is the logical further development of a true classic. For decades, the Tube Screamer has been one of the most popular overdrive pedals in the world - its characteristic, mid-emphasized sound has influenced countless guitarists. In this revised, hand-wired version, Ibanez goes one step further: with high-end components, a revised circuit and a classy new design, the pedal not only offers iconic tone, but also an extended sound spectrum for modern requirements.

Whether on stage or in the studio, this pedal delivers the familiar Tube Screamer sound with added transparency and flexibility. The use of Japanese MOGAMI OFC cables, the classic JRC NJM4558 op-amp and an innovative +6 dB boost in the output stage make the Ibanez Tube Screamer Handwired a high-quality tool for every sound enthusiast.

Ibanez - quality and innovation from Japan

Ibanez has been synonymous with high-quality guitars, amplifiers and effects units for decades. The Japanese brand has earned itself a firm place in the music scene through technical innovation and uncompromising quality. The Ibanez Tube Screamer Handwired is manufactured in Japan and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology - a prime example of Ibanez' philosophy: sound quality without compromise.

With the hand-wired version of the Tube Screamer, Ibanez shows once again how serious they are about sound fidelity and attention to detail. Every solder joint, every cable and every component has been carefully selected and optimized for maximum sound quality. The result: an overdrive pedal that not only impresses with its history, but also with its performance.

Technical details of the Ibanez Tube Screamer Handwired

At the heart of the pedal is the tried-and-tested JRC NJM4558 op-amp, which is largely responsible for the characteristic Tube Screamer tone. Ibanez deliberately chose this chip because it reproduces the classic, mid-emphasized overdrive sound in its purest form. In addition, the circuit's output stage has been equipped with a boost that can raise the output level by +6 dB - ideal for more punch in the mix.

Particular attention was paid to the cabling: Japanese MOGAMI OFC cables (AWG21) are used, which are known for their excellent signal transmission. In combination with the hand-wiring, this results in an extremely clear and precise sound that authentically reproduces even the finest nuances of guitar playing.

The pedal is equipped with the classic controls for OVERDRIVE, TONE and LEVEL and can therefore be operated intuitively. It has true bypass, which means that the signal is passed on unaffected when switched off - a decisive advantage for purist signal paths.

It can be operated either via a 9-volt battery or an external power supply unit (DC 9-18V, center-negative). The current consumption is 7 mA at 9V or 11 mA at 18V, which gives the pedal a long service life per battery charge. With its compact dimensions (133 mm x 77 mm x 60 mm), the pedal can be easily integrated into any setup.
