Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst Acoustic Guitar

Are you looking for a cutaway acoustic-electric guitar with a solid spruce top and a pickup system that accurately captures the instrument’s character even when amplified? Then the Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst Acoustic-Electric Guitar is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a clearly defined acoustic-electric guitar with APX specifications. The Yamaha APX700II acoustic-electric guitar resembles the guitars in the 1000 Series in both appearance and construction. What sets it apart is the A.R.T. pickup system, which captures both the sound of the strings and that of the body.

This enables A.R.T. to accurately reproduce the subtle tonal differences between APX and CPX guitars. As a result, the unique character of each series comes through even when played through a cable. If you’re looking for an acoustic guitar with a solid spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, and a preamp system named after the model itself, the Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar is a precisely specified model designed with a clear focus on stage and amplified performance.

Body and Construction

The Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar features a cutaway. This design is one of the instrument’s key features and ensures a clearly defined APX style. The top is made of solid spruce and forms the tonal foundation of the model. This is complemented by a back and sides made of nato, ensuring that the instrument’s wood composition remains immediately recognizable.

Visually, the Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar is enhanced by the Vintage Sunburst finish, ivory binding, and a black translucent headstock. These features give the model a clean, streamlined look and underscore its place within the APX series. For those looking for a clearly defined combination of construction and appearance, this model offers a well-structured foundation.

Neck, Fretboard, and Dimensions

The neck of the Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar is made of nato. This material specification complements the body construction well and is one of the clearly defined features of the instrument. The fretboard is made of rosewood and features dot inlays. The bridge is also made of rosewood. This combination makes the specifications for the neck and fretboard immediately clear.

In addition, there are 22 frets, a scale length of 650 mm, and a nut width of 43 mm. These dimensions round out the technical profile of the Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar and provide a clear overview of the model’s playing characteristics. Anyone looking for an acoustic guitar with clearly specified dimensions and materials will find a precisely defined solution here.

System 64-1-way A.R.T.

A key feature of the Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar is its “System 64-1-way A.R.T.” preamp. This system is one of the instrument’s essential technical features and distinguishes this model from the guitars in the 1000 Series. According to the description, A.R.T. takes into account both the sound of the strings and that of the body, thereby accurately reproducing the subtle differences between APX and CPX guitars.

This electronics system is particularly relevant for players who value natural and nuanced sound reproduction, even when playing through an amplifier. The Yamaha APX 700 II Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar is thus objectively and comprehensively described in terms of its pickup and preamp configuration.
